Kinga is the community operating system from DataLock: for groups that run on trust, starting with boda boda SACCOs in Nairobi.
I did the brand first. When the team saw the brand work they asked for the whole product. I am now CTO of DataLock, responsible for the technology end to end.

Why
A boda boda SACCO handles thousands of small daily payments, loans and insurance contributions with paper, M-Pesa messages and a treasurer's phone. Reconciliation is manual and disputes are common.
What it does
- Member, Chairman and Treasurer roles in one Flutter codebase for Android and web. English and Kiswahili. Works offline.
- A payments rail: M-Pesa Daraja (STK push) reconciled per person and per purpose, settling through the Co-op Bank Open API.
- Savings, collections, loans priced on saving history, insurance cover and treasury reconciliation with daily statements.
- Python API and PostgreSQL behind it, GitHub Actions CI, and a release pipeline to testers through Firebase App Distribution.
What I led
- Brand identity and the marketing site at kinga.co.ke.
- The complete app: a working proof of concept in one month, then hardening with the DataLock team towards the Google Play release.
- Bank and payments integration, and onboarding SACCOs onto the bank rail.
